This short introductory etching course is designed for beginners or experienced printmakers alike. It is the first of a series of classes exploring the advantages of etching with copper sulphate. It will also be a chance to learn how to use the new B.I.G. grounds (Baldwins InkGrounds) which offer an excellent alternative to traditional and acrylic grounds.
Participants will learn how to prepare the plates, apply the grounds and etch line and tone into zinc over three two hour sessions.
Further classes will follow to cover the techniques of spit bite, sugar lift and using B.I.G. Places are limited so please book early to avoiddisappointment.
